Referral disclosure

the TeslaReferralCode.org desk · last reviewed

In one paragraph

Every code on this site is a Tesla referral code belonging to a Tesla owner. If you order through one, that owner may receive referral rewards from Tesla (Tesla Credits or Supercharging credits, depending on the store and car). Your buyer benefit is set and applied by Tesla, not by us; we can't change it, guarantee it or add it later. Using a code costs you nothing.

What we are and aren't

  • We are an independent website. We are not Tesla, not a Tesla dealer and not endorsed by Tesla, Inc.
  • We are not a coupon or promo-code site. Tesla's program has no promo code for cars; it has referral links.
  • Outbound referral links on this site are marked rel="nofollow sponsored" and open in a new tab.

How a code is chosen

Codes come from a pool. Your browser picks one at random each time a page loads, so the pool's owners share visits evenly. The same code is used for every button and link on a page, so what you copy is what you open.

Tesla's rule on promoting referral links

We introduce programs such as these in good faith and expect the same good faith in return. … To be clear, paid advertising, selling or paying or offering incentives for use of referral links is not appropriate, and we will not honor referral links associated with behavior that violates these Terms and Conditions.

Tesla US Refer and Earn terms; the UK terms say the same

We offer nothing — no cash, gifts or rebates — in exchange for using a code, and we never sell codes. Tesla decides whether a referral is honored.
